WARNING: CIMB Bank Email Phishing
As usual I use Gmail as the main email account, but some things I left it to use my Live Hotmail account which I normally checked once a while. Today I checked my email and noticed I have received a LOT of email from my bank, which I use CIMB Bank in Malaysia. From a glance of all those "Bank" emails, I should have known this is a phishing attempt. Let's try to see one of the email I have received.
For most users, looking at the email from confirm@cimbclicks.com.my maybe you won't notice that email was actually NOT from the bank, and may simply click on the link provided straight away. Then, without realizing the site was actually a phishing site that looked exactly like the bank's interface, normal users may have compromised their username and password to hackers. I have tested all the link in the emails, while most of the links has been put down or will result in 404 error, it is better to NOT click on the link at all.Ok, here some other examples of the phishing emails I have received. Next time, be careful when clicking any links in the emails.
